Helps separate the femur and tibia during total knee replacement surgery
Locking ratchet mechanism helps prevent accidental release, and provides for controlled adjustment and easy release.
Designed to remain in position, with the femur and tibia separated, without the need of an assistant, and to minimize crushing the bone, even if osteoporotic. A wide unobstructed view of the posterior compartment is possible. Osteophytes on the posterior condyles of the femur and tibia can be seen and removed. The measuring scale on the spreader handle makes it possible for two spreaders to be used to assist the surgeon in balancing ligaments.

Accuracy Statement for devices with a measuring function: Devices with a measuring function are considered non-critical, non-calibrated, and are intended for reference-only measurements. While it provides a helpful visual guide for relative measurements, it is not calibrated to specific precision standards. Measurements taken with this device should not be considered accurate enough for critical applications requiring strict dimensional tolerances. General manufacturing tolerances of +\- 1% at each graduation, or 2% of the full scale apply, but no conformance qualifications are provided or implied.
